“The 1997 Grand Prix series had an all-new Wide-Track stance and revised model lineup. There was an SE sedan and a GT coupe and sedan. The Grand Prix featured a two-inch wider front track and a three-inch longer wheelbase. It had a low-profile roof, new front and rear fascia, aerodynamic headlamps with reflector optics, and standard integrated fog lamps.”

“Starting late in 1997, the division began preparations to move its offices into GM’s new World Headquarters building in Detroit’s Renaissance Center.”

Total production for all Pontiac vehicle in 1997 was 730,988.  Pontiac added Mexican production of the Sunfire coupes in 1997. A special Edition 40th Anniversary Bonneville was also offered.
